Dear colleagues in medical technology,

My name is Christian Johner. You may know me from my seminars or from joint projects. Today, I would like to tell you about something that has been on my mind for quite some time.

Over the past few months, I have conducted many experiments with AI, exploring its possibilities—especially with GPTs for regulatory tasks. The results surprised even me. And to be honest, I am concerned that so many colleagues in our industry are not yet taking advantage of these opportunities.

"I see how our industry is losing competitiveness. But I also see how easy it would be to change that. That's why I want to try something during my Christmas break..."

My suggestion: A joint experiment

Here's my idea: Send me your technical documentation—or parts of it. No matter what condition it's in. Really, I mean it. Even if you think, "Oh my gosh, there's still so much work to be done on it"—that's exactly what's okay!okay!

I will check your documents with my AI prompts, which I will adapt or develop for your specific situation. The exciting thing is that you will not only receive my test results, but also one of these prompts optimized for you.

Why am I doing this? Quite simply: I want to show you what is already possible today. And I want you to be prepared when notified bodies (and they will be!) start conducting their checks with AI in 1-2 years at the latest.

What can you send me?

Pretty much anything:

  • Complete technical documentation (if you're brave enough 😊)
  • Individual files (risk management, usability, software...)
  • Or just individual documents that you are unsure about

I feel most comfortable with active medical devices. I can't check everything when it comes to material products.

Important: The documents don't have to be perfect! On the contrary—if you're in the middle of your work and don't know how to proceed, that's the perfect time. I'll tell you where the big levers are.

How does our experiment work?

Step 1: You send me an email ([email protected]) and briefly tell me what kind of product it is and what's on your mind.

Step 2: We take care of the formalities (confidentiality, etc.) – this is necessary to ensure that both sides are safe.

Step 3: You send me your documents (preferably as Word files, but PDFs are also fine) and tell me what is important to you.

Step 4: I tinker with the prompts, run the AI through your documents, optimize the prompts, and review them myself.

Step 5: I send you the results and a working prompt for your work.

How much does the experiment cost?

For the complete review, my time, the prompt development, and the transfer of know-how, I charge 4.900 EUR.

That may sound like a lot of money at first. But think about it: What will it cost you if your notified body uses AI to check next year and finds things you overlooked? What will it cost if your competitors are faster?

And, of course, my usual satisfaction guarantee applies. If you are not convinced, we will find a solution.

Shall we try this experiment together?

I'm really excited to see what comes of it. And I'm convinced that you'll be surprised at what's possible.

The Christmas break is the perfect time for this—I have my head free for such experiments.

If you want to join in, just send me a quick email. We'll then see together if and how we can tailor the experiment to suit you.

Best regards
Christian Johner

P.S.: If you are unsure whether the experiment is right for you, please write to me anyway. We will find out whether and how we can make it work for you.
