Description
This course teaches products, protocols and technologies that make an efficient collaboration become possible. It discusses the on- and offline exchange of information, PACS, chat, group calendars as well as related security concepts and saving potentials.
Target
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to
- Judge the value of collaborative systems
- Use Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange and Open-Source groupware solutions
- Assess the risks (security, private use) and chances (financials) of online data exchange systems
- Explain related technologies (protocols (chat, ftp, telnet, SSH) , firewalls, telecommunication)
